Billie.. but human!
Recent human Billie
She is... slightly gorgeous
Aliens reacting to how humans will tear if scabs and pick at wounds? Or how human bites lead to horrifying infections because of our saliva yet we kiss booboo's to make them better? I'm sleep deprived I'm not the best ask.
YES!! tysm!! Us humans are really weird in this sense, we tend to anxiously or instinctively do things that might infect us, and harm us, yet they’re considered normal, and no one ever worries over them.
Perhaps, when you’re like 7ish you’ll find your mum telling you to stop picking at a wound, but that’s ABOUT it!!
So, can you imagine aliens, probably from a more developed species who KNOW these things are harmful and can potentially seriously hurt you, seeing a human do one of them?
I’m going to start wth the whole picking at wounds thing. If you’re part of a crew, you probably get wounded. And sometimes these wounds are sorta small and you don’t really wear anything over them. That’s a HUMAN thing aliens will notice quickly. Even when your wound or whatever is still not fully healed, people don’t do much to cover them. But they might think this isn’t that big of a deal.
However, one day everyone’s (my) favourite Zitar sees Billie picking at a wound, tearing off the small bit of scab that had already formed over the wound. And xey would FREAK OUT. “Why are you tearing the scab off?!?! You’ll get infected!”
Billie, being the little shit she is, might just go “Yeaj, probably, it’s just a nervous tick”
( Zitar is ready to murder her )
Aliens will spend a LOT ( and I mean A LOT ) of time trying to figure out a logical explanation as to why we do things that might get our wounds infected, by FIND no conclusion, with leads them to having to just add
“Humans apparently like getting infected”
To the Handbook.
( let’s just iMAGINE the reaction they’ll have when they see a teensy child kissing a boo boo )
“ what is she doing? “
“ just go with it “
What about aliens that are really confused by just how much effort humans put into caring? Like, cooking good food for family or buying expensive gifts or how much time we spend on helping animals that shouldn’t be alive at all, but we force them to live just because we like them so much?
YES!! starting off , let’s talk about the fact that we INSIST on cooking for each other? there is no necessity for us to do that but WE DO. whenever we see someone being cold, we tend to offer our own jackets or a blanket. even if that means you will be cold, i know a TON of people who wouldn’t hesitate one second to give their own jacket away. birthdays are such a big deal!! we make cake and cards and buy gifts and shower the birthday person in love even though we all know that isn’t really necessary. we treat our pets the same way we’d treat a baby!
aliens might not be like that. maybe birthdays are just another day for them, or maybe they all just cook their own meals . they would be BAFFLED by the amount of things we do JUST to please another person.

“What benefit are you getting out of this?” Zitar asked as xey watched Billie wrap up the third gift.
“Hmm?” The dark skinned female looked up from where her finger had gotten trapped by the tape.
Zitar frowned, “Why are you doing this? What are you getting out of this?”
Billie looked taken aback, then confused, then angry, “Nothing!”
She sounded almost as if she had just been accused of murder. Her tone was angered and offended.
“Then, why are you doing it?” Zitar asked once again, slightly confused by Bianca’s reaction.
“Well, to make Fifi happy, of course! Why else?”
Zitar shook xeir head, “Isn’t Human Fiona already happy?”
“Well, of course she is! But this would make her even happier!”
“And what do you get out of her being happy?” Zitar was still confused.
“For the last time, nothing! I’m not that kind of person!”
Billie then stormed off, leaving Zitar confused.
How about, the way our brains unplug momentarily and we accidently throw away a, lets say, yogurt cup instead of the cap. Or that we go into a room multiple times only to forget what we needed to do then just walk out for a long time until we remember.
ohh yess! along with replying to waiters with ‘you too’ when they tell you to enjoy your meal, this would puzzle aliens a LOT. they might even think whichever human displays this has some sort of memory or social problem!

After a successful mission, Zitar had given xeir crew the following three days off. They’d landed on a planet with a similar climate to Earth’s beaches, and Human Billie, along with Human Fiona, had planned a ‘beach day’ for the whole crew.
The other crew members didn’t seem quite as excited as the pair, but they were all very much curious about human customs.
The whole group was getting ready near the ship’s dock, as Zitar impatiently waited for Human Fiona to finish checking her goddamn bag so they could leave already.
“I knew it” Fiona suddenly screamed out, “I’m missing my sunblock! Be right back”
With that, she handed her bags to the fellow female human and rushed off.
Not one minute afterwards, Fiona poked her head back into the room, a confused look on her face.
“Sunblock, Fi, sunblock” Human Billie was quick to say, sounding somehow annoyed yet fond.
Zitar looked at the red headed human as she rushed off to get this 'sunblock’ once again, and a frown took over her face.
“Does Human Fiona have a memory problem?”
Human Billie turned over to xem, “Fi? Nah, she has a brilliant memory! Why?”
“B-but” Zitar let out a defeated sigh.
Me again, sorry. I just got the idea. How about the LGBT culture that Aliens don't know about, like one male/female crew mate is attracted to the other of the sake sex. Or about how everyone but one person is attracted to someone and that person is like Asexual or Aromantic. Or just people making LGBT jokes and having to explain to the aliens
hello again! so, as you may have noticed, I’ve been using gender neutral pronouns for the aliens I’ve been including in the mini fics. so i don’t really think gender will be a big thing for them? like, sure, some of them may prefer using other pronouns, but those won’t be dictated by their genitalia? so i don’t think they’ll find it weird that people of the same sex sometimes get into relationships. however, i DO think they might be unfamiliar with asexuality and such.

After an emergency in their home planet, Jes'swa, a member of Zitar’s crew, had to leave the mission.
It was outrageous! While Zitar understood the reasoning for Jes'swa to leave, xey were still quite infuriated by the short notice. How were xey supposed to find someone new for the mission in time?
However, Zitar didn’t have to stress for very long, as soon enough Human Fiona had told xem she knew of someone who could join the crew.
That’s how suddenly there was a third human in Zitar’s crew, this one by the name of Killian. Human Killian was quite very much strange. He seemed overly friendly with everyone, but, unlike Human Billie, who had flirted with every men ever of the crew, and Human Fiona, who was so obviously pining after the aforementioned female, Human Killian showed no romantic interest in anyone. Even after six months in the crew, Human Killian remained the same way. There had been other aliens and humans who had made romantic advances on him, but he’d politely declined and told them he was ‘aro/ace’.
Zitar didn’t ask, xey knew it wasn’t xeir place, but xey were sure curious.
Looking through the manual, xey found nothing on this ‘aro/ace’ thing and soon they were itching with irritation and curiosity.
Finally, Zitar gave into the overwhelming urge to learn.
“What’s aro/ace?” Xey asked out loud during a meeting.
Human Killian froze and was quick to put down the papers he had in hand.
“It’s when you have no romantic or sexual attraction to anyone” he explained.
Zitar was puzzled. No attraction? That was most definitely new. Xey didn’t understand it, but xey knew the least xey could do was respect it.
Soon, 'aro/ace’ became a part of the human manual.
I wanted to add onto the "humans picking scabs/kissing wounds" thing. What about a human whose HIGHLY germaphobic? or similar. Like, one member of a crew just- mindlessly picks at their scab wounds and such while the other is there wanting to strangle them because *GERMS*
!!! THIS!!!
Aliens would be so confused, because they’re probably used to species sharing habits like picking scabs and such and here we are with Fiona screaming every time Billie decides to just scratch a scab.
Zitar is done with their shit TBH.
I just realized I’ve created three characters through asks and I’m kinda uhhh proud of myself
