I tried explaining the idea of a Human Proxy to my mother the other day... giving examples of some stuff in Ghost in the Shell, and it’s series Stand Alone Complex. 

She couldn’t grasp going “That’s not quite possible though”... the one question I could of said in rebuttal would be, “What about demon possession in the bible though?” 

How would they be any different if technology wasn’t involved?

 Is that possible in your stasis of beliefs or is it because Science Fiction doesn’t fit the agenda of the commentator you listen to on the radio? The one who says “Oh we’re biblical values here” when really alot of it is “Right Wing Religiosity”.

*Human Proxy= influence or ideas of someone else not causing someone to be truly original... or in other words they’re a messenger for the other party one tends to avoid.
