The whole YouTube Rewind video felt like such a lazy cop out. Say what you will about previous Rewinds, but at least there was some effort and some sort of passion on them.
They were also a more fun way to show of stuff with YouTube in a big video production, while this years video seems like something a decent editor(s) could throw together in a few days or like a week.
The whole video was basically YouTube going, "Fuck you guys then, we'll go overly simple with a list video since you didn't like when we over complicated things last year."
I honestly didn't realise the video was the proper Rewind video before I saw someone made a reaction video to it. I thought it was just a video with some stats in it (which it is to be fair).
Idk man, do YouTube give a shit about Rewind anymore?
