No. Not in so many words.
I'd first come into contact with Warwick in Zaun, as part of the Noxian military detail sent to protect him and his protege now known as Singed, as their war machines were prepared to be moved to the Ionian battlefield.
I was fortunate enough to hear as the Master Alchemist and Engineer spoke of his latest unveiled war machine with what was then an up-and-coming reporter. I'm sure you're familiar with good mister Ram Steed.
Warwick was a magnificent orator. His words were astute; well crafted and passionate, driven by a brutal genius that was highly appealing. I had always been interested in techmaturgy and hextech technology, even as a child, and the volatility of Zaunite advancements were fascinating. Their devotion to their crafts were unparalleled. It was one part exciting, and one part frightening.
My time in Ionia was spent at the guard post outside of their laboratory, and I was privy to overhear the zealousness with which Warwick commanded his domain. As a soldier it was neither my business nor my place to engage the Zaunites in discourse about their work, and I remained at my post, content to listen ... until the doors flung open to the sound of a howl and a blur of blue as it fled into the darkened forest beyond.
...After my release from the Noxian military and my entry into summonerhood, imagine my surprise to find that Warwick was among the League's ranks.
To make a long story short, my ability to profess my interest in his former work has ... allowed us to hit it off quite well, you might say.
