Sadly, little Amber did not survive. She had over 2 pounds of rotting egg material in her abdomen. This is why we're vegan. This is why we don't eat, sell, use, or promote eggs. Eggs cause harm, period. Rest In Peace Amber, we're so sorry that your life was miserable and cut short because of humans. Please donate if you can, medical bills are very costly. #nosuchthingashumaneeggs #humanelie #eggfarms #govegan #Repost @littleredbirds with @repostapp ・・・ Janie (left) and Amber (right) are the second and third birds from Saturday's egg farm pull to meet our vet. Since her rescue, Janie has been kept indoors due to being underweight and lethargic. Today, she received some injections to give her a boost. She will be on antibiotics and continue to be hand-fed and extensively monitored. Amber is another critical case because her abdomen is so full of abnormal material that she is struggling to breathe. Today, her ultrasound showed numerous solid masses throughout her abdomen, likely reproductive-related issues stemming from her years of excessive egg laying, and she will be having exploratory surgery tomorrow to try to save her life. To help us try to give these girls, as well as the numerous others with broken bodies awaiting veterinary care, their bodies and lives back, please donate at: http://littleredbirds.org/donate/
