Feeling like I’m low key channeling national geographic. We had an oportunista to visit an elephant nature park. I am a huge advocate for humane tourism. Many times elephants have been maltreated and abused when they “perform” or learn to carry humans. Visiting this elephant nature park was so humbling to see volunteers and workers care for retired & rescued elephants. We walked, pet, and fed the elephants in their home. We learned about the stories that brought the elephants to the sanctuary.
