Beth sat around the campfire with everyone her head was leaned on Glenn’s shoulder and her eyes were relaxed. It had been too long since she’d actually felt safe in this world, but she couldn’t deny she felt safest next to him. There was something extremely calming when he was keeping watch that made her sleep a little easier at night, it made her heavy eyes close a little easier and yawns come a closer together when she fought them off. It was like a little white flag being waved in her mind when Beth felt Glenn’s fingers run through her hair, her body falling prey to exhaustion; at least when she gave in she’d know she was safe.
