one of the best things about getting back into a fandom like good omens is that in addition to all the amazing art and fics that wring out so many FEELINGS, you get your smut/angst/fluff with a generous helping of Greatest Cultural References Through the Ages so you feel like you learned something and grew smarter by the end.
I have brushed up on so many paintings, poetry, costumes, sculpture, music, theater, politics, plant names, historical figures, you-name-it thanks to fics. Way more effective getting me to research and read more than stuffy lectures :) So yeah, totally here for ineffable husbands commissioning secret art while pining, pausing intimate moments to recite poetry, Aziraphale making obscure tropical plants bloom, and Crowley’s wardrobe giving me a refresher course on style through the ages.

Doodling my boys from my upcoming graphic novel. Can’t wait for y’all to meet them!
Humanities?
Has anyone ever taken Humanities 101? What is it about, I have to take it as an elective 0.o'
Some pictures from the Humanities 101 tour of the University of Alberta yesterday! The first is from the Classics museum, and the second two are from the Bruce Peel Special Collections Library. The first book was published in 1493, and the second in the late 1580s. If you're interested in seeing this stuff first-hand, both places are free and open to the public!
So much reading. Omfg
