In the living room, Benni had set up their entire makeup kit on the coffee table, engrossed in choosing the perfect look for the evening using popular TikToks as they had a date. The issue arose when each attempt at starting a look led to another distraction. Frustrated, Cadmus slammed his laptop shut and exclaimed, "OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. You take forever to decide on a look; you might as well not go!" He approached Benni, embodying the typical frustration of an older brother towards a younger sibling.
Cadmus then snatched the makeup brush from Bennie, commanding, "Sit still! All you got done was your foundation? Really?" Benni sheepishly admitted, "I...Haven't even gotten that far?" Rolling his eyes, Cadmus paused and remarked, "Wait, really? Wow, great skin, new routine?" He swiftly began applying makeup to Benni's face.
Syliph, arriving home with his seeing-eye dog Chamomile, overheard the commotion and the scent of makeup. "You know they only bring their entire makeup kit to the living room when you're around, Cadmus." "Shut up, do not!" Benni protested. "Don't move! And I'm aware of what you're doing, Bennie. You're just lucky my medicine runs out around this time. Syliph, where is Karnus? He was supposed to come home with you, if I'm not mistaken." "Is he not with me? Weird. Oh, that would explain why it got quiet all of a sudden three blocks back."
The silence was deafening, and Syliph picked up on the tension. "..I suppose that wasn't funny?" "No, where is he?" "Where he always is, off on that dirt bike."
