On 2/27/08 at Butterfield Stage Playhouse, the Cooke County Library in conjunction with Extraordinary Stories presented "Riders on the Orphan Train"

  (This program was made possible in part with a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities,  Sarah's on the Square, Tom Thumb Food and Pharmacy, and The Weekly News of Cooke County.)

      There were 75 people in attendance for this performance.

Performers Alison Moore and Phil Lancaster treated the attendees to a number of songs about the Orphan Train, a reading from an upcoming historical fiction book written by Alison Moore, and a historical video presentation. A question & answersession was held afterwards.
