small infodumps about them are under the cut, & the fellswap sisters are up next!
an absolute whirlwind of energy and recklessness, bubbles is arguably the most active of her entire ‘group’. she jumps from one interest to another very quickly, never truly settling on anything bar a few deep-set and very long-term hobbies. that said, any hope of stopping her once she gets going is slim to none; she’s absolutely bullheaded, even to the point of ignoring her own limitations. she is rather observant, luckily, and can usually adjust what she’s doing to better accommodate the people she’s around - that doesn’t mean she’ll be stopping, though. bee is the type of person to have countless different ideas and want to do them all at once, rarely pausing to think of any consequences or limitations. she’s an absolute adrenaline junkie, too. because of all this, though, she does tend to burn herself out from time to time, along with her attempts to power through depressive episodes until she’s bedridden. few things tend to hold her interest for long, but training in and perfecting various martial arts has been a passion of hers for a long time; she specializes in boxing and judo. another long-time interest for her is chemistry, albeit less so than other things - she found it interesting enough to memorize the details of the periodic table, at least. she loves all manner of video games (though fighting-focused, pokemon, & mariobros games are particular favourites), and can get very obviously competitive.
people rarely come any nicer than ri; she’s the kind of person you’d introduce to your family and they’d ask if they can adopt her. she does her best to be polite and considerate, although she’s by no means above teasing her friends and making a nuisance of herself among people she’s comfortable with. she deals with some rather intense anxiety on the regular, though over the years has worked on making it more manageable with help from her sister - there are still days where she can barely leave the house, though. as friendly as she is, ri tends to fade into the background in social settings, mostly out of fear of screwing up interactions in a place she’s unfamiliar with; she doesn’t regularly make friends as a result, leaving that to her sister instead. if you do happen to befriend her, though, she’s incredibly affectionate and will gradually become more comfortable within interactions, and can frequently be caught doing favours of all sorts. she’s observant, and excellent at picking up on smaller details. ri is also quite adept at caring for and studying most animals, having had a particularly keen interest in zoology since she was much younger. she’s also absolute shit at restraining herself from impulse buying.

ruby can be rather crass and impatient at times, often abiding by the ‘act first, ask questions later’ mindset and dealing with any consequences after. she’s stubborn as anything and will keep newcomers much further away than an arm’s length under the suspicions of them being ill-intentioned. but, should someone stick around to the point where she gives in, she’s an incredibly protective and steadfast friend. she dislikes dealing with any serious situations, prefering to goof around with the people closest to her now that she’s finally able to relax a bit. ruby will happily go out of her way to gross out her friends (& sister in particular), just as she’ll ‘’’begrudgingly’’’ accompany them on various activities that they like that no one else will do with them. (she actually doesn’t mind at all and would do it as many times as they want she just has an Image she’s trying to keep up). her stubbornness still applies, though - you won’t hear a peep about her problems unless you seriously push her about it. she’s gradually unlearning various less than healthy mindsets with the help of her ‘group’, and has discovered a love of gardening as a means of relaxing this way.
even if her dismissive and ‘every man for himself’ demeanor can sometimes be off putting, fell does usually mean well in the things she does. she has rather a difficult time putting her thoughts & feelings to words, and tends to resort to more physical expression as a result. really, though, she does care a lot - be it about close friends or even strangers to some extent. she can be incredibly stubborn like her sister, & once she has a goal in mind there is little anyone can do to dissuade her from achieving it. her consideration for others, subtle as it may be on the regular, runs the risk of being dismissed when she’s intent on getting something done. she’s become an unofficial local mechanic-for-hire, having a surprising knack for working her way around tools & machinery and using that talent to help out people around the town. she sees the inner workings as puzzles, and the solutions often come easy to her. though, if given the chance, she’d also very much be into welding metals & other such things to make her own machines - she just hasn’t had the chance to do that yet. however, make no mistake; this lady is absolutely rocking a killer fashion sense along with those calloused hands. the scars displayed on her skin have never once stopped her, and they likely never will. she’s almost proud of them, in a way.
first up, the ‘tale sisters! :D feat. nymph, of course. i’m also gonna put the brief infodumps i wrote about each of them under a cut, just for anyone new who’d like to know a lil bit about them! <3 ‘fell sisters are up next!
perhaps a tad less nihilistic than any of her direct counterparts, vani is just as laid back and well known for being the calmest of her ‘group’. her point of interest is the design and construction of all variety of robots, complete with functioning a.i.’s and as much range of movement as she can give them. her side of the room shared between her & ruby is littered with small tools, metal components, and all manner of delicately assembled robo-guts. it may look like a mess, but she knows exactly where everything is - organized chaos, if you will. among those aforementioned robo-guts is probably the only thing she bothers to keep clean; the saxophone (saxobone?) bought for her as a gift a while back. although holding the title of Most Chill™, one may notice that, despite the generally carefree attitude, the frequency of disastrously bad ideas among friends tend to spike around her. vani is an absolute chaos enabler. she’ll suggest many a dumb, logically-impossible-but-hey-if-you-do-it-This-Way-it-might-just-work idea in subtly different ways depending on who she’s hanging out with, which often ends up in poorly planned adventures while she tags along just for laughs. do not let the soft grin & tired eyes fool you, she brings anarchy in her wake. (must be where nymph gets it from, huh)
although by no means any less enthusiastic as her skeletal counterparts, angel does tend to come across as more subdued and softspoken (which tends to make her penchant for occasional sarcastic jabs all the more hilarious). her energy is much more controlled, finding an outlet in various physical activities rather than being forcibly restrained - she’ll practice ballet, ice skating, self defence, and put almost infinite amounts of effort into perfecting these (and has near astounding control over her movements as a result). she is somewhat prone to stepping into overbearing territory in terms of making a fuss of her friends, even if she has only the best of intentions with her double (& triple. & sometimes quadruple if you’re really lucky) checking. her short-term memory is rather… iffy, but she does try her best to get around it. there are stickynotes all around the house that she puts up to remind herself of all kinds of things. new names & the like tend to be a struggle, but once she’s committed something to long-term memory it’ll definitely stay with her. like many of her direct counterparts, angel really loves puzzles! she has a whole stack of notebooks dedicated to designs she thinks of, & her most recent ones are filled with level designs for the puzzle app she and her sister created. you may find various costume designs and doodles of gems scattered in among them, too.
