Last night we closed the doors for the last time on my parents house and our home base of 18years. To say it's the end of an era is a major understatement. I'll miss the backyard, the garage, the energy in the kitchen, and the people living/coming in & out. Wishing my parents @mamacristina & @kingofthebongo7 blessing filled adventures as they head out of the country on their new journey. Just grateful for the life they built for us. Happy Birthday to the sweetest spirit I've ever known, my brother Isaac. It's hard to put in to words, but there is no greater pride than being his sister in this lifetime. This was his first passport photo. Always willing to go anywhere/try anything, and do it with style, humility, kindness & grace. My God, he knew how to have a good time. Happy 65th Birthday, @kingofthebongo7! I'd like to publicly thank my dad, for setting the bar so high & loving me so entirely, that I didn't end up with some fool or life just to settle. My mom. Today is her birthday and I am beyond grateful to call her mine. This is #MamaC when she was 21yrs old, and had just given birth to her first-my oldest brother-Isaac. From that day forward, she has dedicated her life to being the mother she never had; a protector, a kind leader, a chef/horticulturist/philanthropist and the funniest person I know. And now...lol, a retired senior citizen! (What?! When did that happen?!). Most people know her as Mama C, but she's honestly my best friend in the world. No one but God above her.
