In the TBOSBAS book it is mentioned that Snow’s growth is stunted due to malnutrition (suggesting that he is below average height). However, Snow’s actor in the movies (Donald Sutherland) is 6’4”. You may consider this to be an oversight on the director’s part or retcon, but this is simply because you don’t know that the average height for a Capitol citizen is seven feet tall.

See, from a canonical basis transmasc Coriolanus is fully just for fun to put him in situations, but from a thematic basis I need you guys to know he’s VERY trans to me. He’s the very personification of trying to pass as cis when you don’t have access to things like surgeries, hormones, even money to be put aside for gear like binders or to keep up with clothing trends. The wearing what little acceptable clothing you have until it’s bare and shrunken because anything less will shatter the illusion. The dictating your every move based on how you want people to perceive you. The secretiveness and the planning of routine around maintaining it. And then the guilt when you fail because the knowledge of your identity as a trans person reflects poorly on your loved ones as well as you in certain circles. Plus him being on the brink of homelessness and still being one of the most anti-district characters can definitely be something for conservative queers who overcompensate by punching down to feel like SOMEONE is below them.

See I feel like I AM forming a solid opinion on Plutarch but it’s not the same as everyone else’s so I can’t tell if it’s the right one or not. I’m kind of just standing here and going “am I doing this right? Am I Heavensbeeing correctly?”

I don’t blame them for leaving this out of the movies because you obviously can’t make the actors get plastic surgery and subtler surgical alterations are kind of hard to convey with makeup, but I feel like the fact that Snow has Capitol cosmetic procedures done in both the main trilogy and SOTR era definitely says something devious. That wasn’t really a thing in the TBOSBAS time period but he was always a self conscious little bitch except instead of being the “oh god I suck” variety he’s the “I’m perfect at everything and everyone agrees and if anyone thinks otherwise it’s because I’ve fucked up and I have to die” kind so I’m having a fun time with the implications that this has on him.

I feel like he definitely wouldn’t be able to access any kind of care for a long time, which he would not deal with well. This is not good binding btw don’t use bandages.
