Baby It’s Cold Outside || Hunter
Being unable to feel the emotions of everyone around her had originally come as quite the surprise, given how ingrained the multitude of emotions that mingled with her own and at time seeped into her had become. After getting used to it though she had been in a very, very good mood... At least until she’d tried to use her power to help Charlie...and couldn’t feel anything at all. Even when she tried the link connecting her to Hunter, nothing. Not even a whisper.
By the time she reached the door to his place, Bridgette had worked herself up into a near panic. What if something happened and she didn’t know, because she couldn’t sense anything? In that moment she hated the negative field spread over the city that rendered her powerless and unable to access the empathic threads of her friends and family. She had known what she was going to do on her way over, but in the time between knocking on Hunter’s door (a little frantically) and waiting for him to answer she blanked, suddenly very nervous and unsure of the rest of her plan...
