The Dog’s have gleaned a little bit of respect on this day, being ready to defend Predator if Pear had turned out to be a threat. And then there was Chief, who lost a tiny bit more, allowing Pear to pass by and collect the disheartened skeleton with no objection, claiming it to be one less issue.
Pear glances to the dogs. “Thank you all, for keeping watch over him.” Even if Chief was all too ready to get rid of Predator, he values their effort, and their concern over the younger man. “I’ll take it from here.”
The scene changes, and he makes his way over to the couch, sitting the other male down upon it. Predator’s posture---how he’s wearing his coat, it says a great deal about how lost he felt. Perhaps it was even some attempt to comfort himself in Prey’s absence, zipping himself up in warmth.
“Hey. You’re gonna be okay. And we’re gonna find Prey. Alright?”
