i think we all need to take a moment to thank the character & costume design team behind the winter soldier's look because they managed to take somebody who looked like a harmless lily white five year old and made him look scary

[Sebastian]'s attire is comprised mostly of black, and he has the rare ability to wear tight jeans without looking ridiculous. 'I think every guy should own a pair of skinny black jeans and boots,' says Sebastian, 'When I showed up to the photo shoot i had been wearing mine for like two days.'

i’m going to kick you
evidently there will be a line
Steve isn't sure what to do when Bucky just gets confused at being called his own name; he doesn't want to call Bucky 'the winter soldier' or 'the asset' because that's not who he is, either. So Nat pats Steve on the shoulder, (I've got this, Rogers, go get some chinese food from the place on the corner for dinner). Natasha sits across from Bucky and says, "Are you listening to me, Soldier?"
But she says it in a soft, kind voice; something Bucky isn't used to, but he's used to being called a Soldier, so he looks up at her and makes eye contact. (Do you remember your name, Soldier?". His eyebrow furrows, and he shakes his head. "Sometimes......" he says quietly, after a while.) But it doesn't feel like his name anymore. "Okay. That's okay," Natasha says. "Your name is Bucky Barnes, Soldier. Can you remember that for me?" That's something he can do; he nods, feeling more sure of himself now.
She starts by giving him simple commands. ("Eat all the food on your plate, Soldier. Go take a shower. Go to bed before midnight. If you feel scared, you need to tell me or Steve. Do you understand?") He nods. Orders he understands...and these orders aren't too hard, and Nat and Steve are kind to him.
When he gets used to life, real day-to-day things she starts calling him by his name again, asking his opinions; sometimes tempered with "Soldier"... but always spoken in that kind, low voice of hers. Bucky is someone he knows now, at least a little. And there's a brightness to his eyes when Nat or Steve talks to him now. Bucky is him, and Bucky is a person.
