lake charles, louisiana: the last sunset before hurricane laura. my home is truly beautiful. it hurts my heart to see so many things gone.
me realizing that everybody’s been talking about something happening on august 27th for like a month and that’s tomorrow which is also happens to be the day that big ass hurricane could hit
HURRICANE UPDATE:
-now a Cat. 4 (6 mph away from a cat 5)
-storm surge in my home city is up to 20ft
**I’m begging you all to republish this and pray for louisiana (and parts of texas) right now, this will be worse than 2005 of meteorologists predictions are valid. (Rita and Katrina hit in 2005; this is they’re 15th anniversary down to the week). many people homes and communities will be wiped clean, please keep us in your prayers and get this trending. these next 6 hours are vital.**
I know this isn’t typical tumblr stuff to post... but if you are any sort of religious, please pray for louisiana right now. hurricane laura is heading straight for my home town and my dad has chosen to stay home and ride it out to watch over his mother and grandmother along with our house. there are many other who have chosen to ride it out as well, but it’s strengthening significantly more than meteorologists predicted. we need God right now, and your prayers would mean the world to us right now.
finally got power back after a WEEK and a DAY which means tumblr :’)
More on the western heat wave; and we have a new hurricane to talk about.
