Explain your blog name. Why hussh Tess?
Well it was originally just hushtess not with the double s but my mum found my blog so i changed it. 'hush' because these words I write are unspoken, quiet, my whisperings, and they're not said aloud, and tess because it's my name. So basically in a colloquial and not so pretty sense it means my quiet words. The definition of hush is: 1. To make silent or quiet. 2. To calm; soothe. 3. To keep from public knowledge; suppress mention of. All 3 of those things, especially number 2, is what i'm trying to do.:)
Do you speak Dutch?
Fluently :)
Favourite food, book, tea and sleeping position.
Food would probably have to be roast sweet potato or pumpkin or onion with crispy falafel balls and hummus and sweet chilli OR turkish bread with a veggie/lentil patty and ALSO teryaki tofu which I tried for the first time the other day and it was SO good! Book, i love the author Jodie Picoult and could read any of her books zillions of times- especially her latest, Lone Wolf.
Tea would have to be a simple English Breakfast or a Peach Green Tea.
For my sleeping position I stretch out one leg, bend one in, twist so i'm half on my tummy but I ALWAYS snuggle a pillow into my belly cause otherwise I feel uncomfortable.(thanks for asking me a question! :))
What was it like leaving Holland and moving to Australia?
Strange. I grew up as a spoilt rich child in a mansion, whos parents worked 16 hours a day and had a permanent live-in nanny, in a country of cobblestones and canals and cold weather. Coming to Australia, my parents both relaxed into other jobs, my dad worked from home and everyone relaxed in general. We rented onto a farm and got horses, then moved to a small property 20 minutes outside town. There was an overwhelming amount of green. The weather, the atmosphere, the people were different. Everything is a complete juxstaposition. I love them both, but I miss Holland dearly. (thanks for asking me a question! :))
what does your family do for the holidays?
We go away usually, either to 1770 (a beach town) and stay in a resort/cabin on the beach or camping somewhere. :) During the summer holidays we go on adventures and day trips to Brisbane and stuff like that, to museums and art gallerys. We go on picnics and have bon fires with friends. I always have fun with my family. (thanks for asking me a question!:))
what have you eaten today??
Breakfast: Tea (Turkish apple, it was so nice)morning tea: rockmelon and grapeslunch: frozen spinach, mushrooms, half a sweet potato and three falafel balls with sweet chilli sauce
so far ~ going out to dinner tonight so we shall see
i know how weird this sounds, but im scared that if i start trying harder to recover and start to eat more, that people will stop caring about me. I know how selfish and petty that sounds but, I wish there was some way to make people around me realize that recovering is actually harder than just giving in to eating disorder habits :(
There is a way to tell them my dear. TELL THEM. Tell them you're scared, tell them you're vulnerable, let them know what support you need. You will need a very strong support network to get through this, and you deserve one. Find a treatement team near you, or just talk to your parents. Tell them in all the words you can find. It's alot harder yes, but it's SO worth it .I'm proud of you. If you need any guidance, help i'm happy to be here whenever. Good luck sweetheart xxxx
