CALL FOR ARTISTS!
RSI Bank, a community bank headquartered in Rahway, N.J. is seeking artists to compete in its 3rd Annual Artists Contest-“State of Being”. The contest is open to artists from NJ, NY, PA and CT 18 years or older. $4,500 in prizes will be awarded based on a juried selection process. All work should reflect the theme of an artist’s reflection of any point in life’s journey, an expression of themselves, their environment, past or present, challenging or triumphant. All entry fees as well as any commissions collected on works sold during the exhibition will be donated directly to Arts Guild NJ, a non-profit arts center located in the Rahway Arts District dedicated to presenting high level arts programs to a multi-county audience. Last year nearly 100 artists from all over NJ participated in RSI’s second contest and 42 works were selected for exhibition along with the five prize winners. This year RSI hopes to partner with up to two other venues in order to afford more space for the show and a greater opportunity to showcase some of the area’s most talented artists. The deadline for entry is Wednesday, May 14, 2014. The exhibition will be shown at RSI Bank, 1500 Irving Street, Rahway, N.J. from June 8th thru July 3rd.
