@glitchcs sold their soul for a // starter
this is NEW TERRITORY, but no matter how much Noah argued and complained to Jintaek, the older man would not let up on his decision to send him here. it's just like the hotel you usually stay in-- yeah, no the HELL it is not. but he couldn't turn down his MISSION. though Jintaek is dangerous, Noah knows he won't hurt him should he find a way to FLEE where he'd been planted at, but he doesn't want to solely for the fact that this is paying good money. DIRTY money, but good money nevertheless.
HE FUCKING HATES HIS JOB, but it's all he's known for the past NINE years of his life, and probably the only thing he'd DIE knowing. he views himself as PATHETIC because of it, but as long as he's making money to support himself and provide even the slightest ounce of happiness to his disgusting lifestyle, then he'd push on.
only two clients down out of a given goal of, Noah quits for the time being, wandering out into the halls of this strange, foreign building to find somewhere to escape -- somewhere to BREATHE. he's tired, and although he has a bed to sleep in, it isn't safe to stay inside of that room right now. he needs time to RECOVER and if he hadn't left now, then he'd never have the chance to.
Noah finds himself aimlessly roving through the corridors, often looking over his shoulder, keeping his gaze focused behind him for some time which allows him to clumsily bump into the corners of the wall, door frames, vending machines, etcetera. it's annoying how many times such a mistake REOCCURS, but he knows he has to -- quite literally -- watch his back. and he knows letting down his guard would be a mistake.
however, he doesn't ponder the fact that focusing too much behind him while running into things in front of him could lead to disaster.
his breath catches in his throat when he collides with another being. he turns to facing them, hoping and PRAYING to the godless skies up above that it is not a client sent to him. if it is, he might run and deal with Jintaek's yelling later.
"sorry!"" he apologizes, bowing three times, avoiding eye contact. "i wasn't paying attention, i'll do better."
