I have been tagged by @explorersaremadeofhope in a Get To Know You post, and by @tirlaeyn in a 6 Faceless Photos post, so I am going to do both in one post before I forget to do them again.

Get To Know You -
Reading: currently I am still struggling to get myself to finish reading Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. I should get started on the book on my tbr pile, Sister of the Dead by Barb & JC Hendee.
Last Series Watched: aside from whatever we've had on in the background, the last one I deliberately put on to watch was Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Husband also recently had us restart Game of Thrones.
Last Film: that we watched all the way through? I think it was Battleship.
Last Song: oh dear, I haven't listened to music in a while. There's been snippets of whatever is playing in stores or whatnot, but I cannot remember the last song I put on just for me.
Sweet or Salty: probably sweet.
Coffee or Tea: 100% coffee lover for sure.
Working on: getting measurements for things in the house, so we can replace curtains/blinds, put in new furniture etc. Need to also sell some stuff on trademe so I will have space to redisplay my lego.

1. A rare triple cherry I had one day.
2. Castle Point lighthouse
3. Technic Lego plane I built for the boy.
4. Miniature trains at the park
5. The miniature steam train that was operating.
6. Kiddo's recreation of the bus depot on our TV stand.
Tagging - no pressure, but if you want to do one or both of these: @aenariasbookshelf @typhoidmeri @pandaimitator @accidentallylita @abadbowlofsoup @themonkeycabal
Also, if anyone wants a pair of cats and are near Springfield, Missouri, my mum is trying to rehome her pair of cats.
After my second step-dad passed away last year, caring for three animals on her single income and all that has been a challenge. And if she wants to relocate back to Aotearoa, she can afford to bring the dog, but not the cats as well.
As much as she loves them, she wants them to have a good life with someone else. The alternatives are not great. So really, if you know anyone or are someone that would like a pair of cats...
My loan of Project Hail Mary became available just shortly after I discovered I can watch the movie on prime. I started it yesterday and I'm already 45% of the way through. Next I'll need to carve out a couple hours time to give the movie my dedicated attention.
Did anyone else have a moment when Rhuarc and Bair greeted Lian with a kiss of wanting to avert their eyes because Aiel usually do not like to show physical affection in public?
I definitely felt like Birgitte third-wheeling Elayne and Aviendha's first-sister declaration there.
$30 to boop people irl???
Ha!
Alright, so, my husband was talking to the cleaner at his workplace. Once upon a time my husband served in the NZ SAS, and the cleaner was a medic in the British army. Some of their service time was in roughly the same time and place, but they don't recall having crossed paths.
Anyway, this eventually lead to a conversation in which my husband asked him, "So, you've seen Rogue Heroes, right?"
And the cleaner was like, "No, what's that?"
"Oh you've got to watch it," says husband, "It's about the formation of the SAS. There's 2 seasons out so it's prime for binging, I think you'll love it!"
"It's got Paddy Mayne in it?" the cleaner asks warily. "Is he a nutter?"
"Yes."
Cleaner was relieved. While he was not in the SAS, nor was his grandfather, his grandfather knew Paddy Mayne and reckoned he was a right nutter. So he wanted to be sure the characterisation wasn't off before he got into it.
And he did love the show.
Friday the 13th.
We get the keys to the house today.
