My day has been alright, thanks! University was a bit shit but then Kate made the day worth it with a blurb that resuscitated me. All of them, all of baby 5sos are my faves. Mini Cal was particularly adorable with the note.

The decision of turning your Pikachu into Raichu hadn’t been an easy one. You’d always been adamant about keeping your pokemon the same, to allow her keep her own identity if she wanted to. And boy did you love your Pikachu. She’d been your very first pokemon, the one you’d chosen right before you set off into the league to get as many badges as possible. 

It wasn’t until your aunt give you a Thunder Stone that you started thinking about evolving her. But you weren’t too sure until Pikachu herself had given you her consent. Not that she could speak and say ‘do it’ in so many words. It was more the fact that you’d been staring at the ston abstenmindedly one day when she approached you and noticed how conflicted you felt. After many ‘pika pika’s with different undertones that allowed you to know exactly what she felt, you gave in and evolved her.

Four months had passed since and you were almost at the end of your journey. You were ecstatic, of course, and were determined to take over your mom’s Gym after you got the remaining badges. 

What you didn’t expect was to literally have a boy with lovely red hair stumble into your life. After walking into the next city in your quest, said boy fell down at your feet, making you fall in the process. After getting up and helping him get to his feet, he apologized profusely.

“It’s alright,” you said. You both introduced yourselves properly, allowing you to know his name was Michael, before you noticed his Pikachu, who was looking at your Raichu curiously. “Oh, your Pikachu is lovely.”

“Thank you, I just got him, actually,” he replied as he scratched the back of his head.

“Oh, really?” 

“Yeah, but I’m not very good at training her.”

You felt bad at the shame in his eyes, so before you could stop yourself, you touched his arm and smiled. “I could help you!”

His eyes lit up, but he still look hesitant. “Really? But we don’t really know each other.”

You knew this, and as reckless as it may have been, something about him told you that you wouldn’t regret having him in your life. Not one bit. 

After a lot of training, he became a strong trainer and also a really important part of your life. When he left on to start the league on his own, you were heartbroken, but you couldn’t go with him. You had a Gym to attend. After gaining all the badges (even yours, and you weren’t even ashamed of it), he went back to you.

And that right there, was the start of the love story you’d been wanting so badly for so long.
