there was nothing quite like a bond between sisters . for francesca she loved all of them just as much as the other , they all had special places tucked away , but she had spent the most time with hyacinth and therefore felt as if they were closer . from her point of view they were both vastly different with varying opinionated takes and perhaps that was the reason why they were able to share in each other's company long enough without the need for playful banter or witty comebacks . it was an enjoyable balance .
the said bond is what lead them to weekend mornings . before her debut out into society , the pair of them would sit in front of their mother's vanity and do each other's hair . in the beginning it was but a trivial silly thing between them , a way to pass the time when all the older siblings were about the ton seeking a hand in marriage . when more time passed and eventually francesca got pretty good at perfecting hyacinth's curls , it stopped being a trivial moment and became a fond memory . ❝ mama will be upset if i'm late again to the promenade . ❞ though weekend mornings was still something she looked forwards to . ❝ i'm trying to fix your hair , so hold still . ❞ perhaps saying that they had gotten good at it was her being confident in hyacinth's skills , and quite possibly because of it , she had gotten somewhat antsy with her conversation topics .
ultimately she closed her eyes , forgoing anymore words and simply tilting her head back , allowing her sister to finish what she was trying to fix to begin with . truthfully she didn't care about the outing or whether she'd be late or not , she was only going to appease their mama and the queen . if there were no actual obligations she would choose to stay here , amongst the scent of lavender and the soft caress of hair .
