He was disorientated. He didn’t even know where he really was. Though what he did know was that his chest hadn’t hurt so much. He shifted his hand hard over it as he gazed up at his surroundings. A living room, with a broken sofa (of all things!). That must mean that the plan had worked. That he was in another universe. With a breath, he closed his eyes, planting his head back on the broken pieces below him. 

“Hello?” He called, swallowing thickly, wincing a bit at the taste of blood. “Does anyone live in this particularly messy house?” He smiled faintly. For even in his pain, he found something to joke about.

The wolf stared up into the woman’s eyes. He was shaking as he crumpled into her. His voice was hoarse as he spoke. “You found me again,” he whimpered, “how did you find me?” He was careful to see his claws didn’t dig into Eden’s shirt, but he needed this hug like oxygen.

His back straightened almost imperceptibly as she spoke, eyes going dark for a moment before he gave a slow shake of his head. “If there’s one thing that I’ve learned in my life, it’s that you have to go through things alone. No one is ever going to be there for you when you need them the most, so it’s better to just not even matter,” he muttered, voice cold as he turned his face away from her, focusing on something off in the distance as a soft breath escaped his lips. “I don’t have the luxury of having people by my side.”
