Throughout this entire disaster, Elizabeth was dreading the moment when someone tried to provoke a fight. No, she wasn’t scared of them, she simply did not feel the need to hurt or kill on top of what devastation the earth was already providing. But there he was, a man nearly a foot taller than herself cornering her up against the wall and out for her blood. Her sword was no where to be seen, and she could forget about her pistol since Elizabeth knew it was long gone. She had to depend on the strength she’d build up over the years of her piracy.
Elizabeth tried a negotiation first although it fell on deaf ears. “I suppose we are to fight then. Though you do look quite dull picking a fight with someone half the weight of yourself,” the blonde scoffed, raising her fists in preparation of what was to come. She would’ve won, she knew she would’ve won in a matter of seconds had a beam not fallen on her ankle the day before. With a limp, she pressed onward and dodged most punches thrown by the man, even managing to break his jaw and fend him off herself for a while.
But it changed when he noticed her limp. Grabbing the smaller woman, he violently threw her against a concrete wall and made her gasp for breath seeing as the wind was knocked out of her. She wasn’t finished though, she couldn’t be. Elizabeth was just about to pull herself back up when she felt his knee jerking into her stomach which again made her loose her breath. Throwing her down again, he crushed her body into the hard road with his boot, Elizabeth trying to shove him off herself but with little use.
Was this it then? It was a pitiful death for a pirate, one she would be ridiculed for. “Oh, don’t stop now, you look like such a cowardly git from down here,” she sputtered. Even facing death, she had to throw her insults accompanied by a look of defiance as she felt the pressure build on her body caused by the weight of him.
