Notebook AU: With the Band

Music wafted through the rafters of the tavern. Drum beats and the strumming of guitar streams wove a tapestry of intense throbbing rock music that had the entire place jamming. Even the bartender was rocking her head to the hilarious tale of the epic battle while she poured drinks. The regulars looked on in amusement while they nursed their beverages. Teens and college students alike thrust their fists into the air, jumping up and down in the mosh pit threatening to spill onto the low stage in the corner.

On the microphone the singer cupped his hands around it tenderly. Beside him the guitar player knelt before the crowd, leaning back as his fingers weaving a guitar solo that would make ears melt. The bassist peeled off his shirt and threw it into the audience, causing a swirl of squeals from the girls of the mosh. The drummer, not to be outmatched tossed his third set of drum sticks into the mosh without even missing a beat. The DJ rolled his eyes from beside the drummer. Mounds of electrical equipment flashed to the beat of the band with subtle hues of every color. He provided that soft orchestra in the back ground while the beat dropped.

The audience swayed as the music slowed and the singer carried out the words, flawlessly as the song spun its riveting tale of pirates fighting ninjas. Drawing to the end of the fight. Blood dripped from both of them. The drummer picked up the beat again, all sounds building up slowly until everything stopped. After a moment of silence, the song crashed back into play and the audience whipped up into a mosh once more.

Own the System was rocking the house tonight.
