✾ - Why I chose my character

Aaaaaah this is gonna be word vomit but ok so, here’s the thing; I’m relatively new to the borderlands fandom. My interest actually stemmed from my husband playing, than with me randomly playing through on Lil and Maya afterwards. So, I didn’t really think much on Nisha until Pre-sequel (other than ‘whoa, this chick is a stone cold badass right here’)

But then playing bl:ps, hearing all those little quips and getting to know a bit more on her background; I was pretty much hooked. I mean yeah, Nisha is basically 'the most evil person on Pandora.' so I'm not gonna coddle her or put everything about her in a little "she's just misunderstood" bubble, but I've fallen for that sadistic bluntness/humor. And Nisha's not about to apologize for who she is because she's knows she's messed up (probably not as much as she thinks but still)

Also I have this habit with picking characters that are so outta range of my own personality yet I like to think I have a knack for tapping into... idk we'll see how it goes. Honestly looking forward to getting into some really crazy, gritty shit....

♖ for a childhood headcanon

Nisha was eleven when she first picked up a pistol. It was this old, discarded thing that wound up in curious hands. Though the weapon was empty, Nisha was smart enough to know what it could do. So of course she raised it up and aimed, making faint firing sounds, shooting away all her problems with a smile, and beginning a fascination with firearms. She held onto that old thing for a few months up until her mom found it, and scraped it.

Since becoming sheriff Nisha has had some more time on her hands, considering she’s got a town to run and can’t really go out on many bandit hunts. So when feeling restless she takes to practicing on this old instrument she found ( pandora version of a guitar? could be a thing w/e) Idle strumming turns to humming, then hushed singing. But it's all done in the strict privacy of her own little secluded place.If anyone walks in or says they’ve heard Nisha sing; that’s a lynching.

( // ok so yeah this is pretty much based on the stephanie young sound clip of her singing. but I could see her doing that, and just keeping r own little thing. idk jack and wilhelm might be the only ones who’ve heard her and survived… maybe Athena too >_> )

♖ for a childhood headcanon

As a child, she had a strange pet named Eissa that was given to her just after it was born.  Jezebel raised it A small, rodent like creature that looked akin to a sugar glider with repitlian eyes and hints of feathers running along its back, and scales along its stomach.  Its wings were large and coated in soft fur with a long, lizard-like tail.  Tiny, but sensitive ears raised keenly to the air to listen.  After she lost her little friend by the hand of Mercury - the man responsible for many of the tragedies in her story, and she was able to gain the knowledge of her origami, she put all her heart and soul into recreating Eissa into the origami crane that lives with her today.

Jezebel is neither a day or night person.  She simply sleeps when she can, however if given a choice she prefers the night due to its peacefulness.

⊗ for a completely random headcanon

Her origami training was extreme under her Father’s guidance.  So much so that she would spend days without sleep, and would actually find that the hallucinations she experienced through sleep deprivation allowed her to tap into her abilities more easily.  However due to experiments done to her, she was confronted with unexpected results even her Father had not anticipated leaving them both learning quite a number of things.

I'd say both tbh. She's a pretty cheerful person overall. At all times.

I'll say day person though, because she has the ungodly ability to wake up and be fully awake. How does anyone even do that?

She travels around Elpis on the vehicles??? I don't know what to say honestly

She really didn't know about door hinge rhyming with orange until very recently.

    It's a familiar voice. Even if it didn't broadcast across     Pandora,  promise riches of the Vault and tell every-     one not  to mind those  little earthquakes,  even if it     didn't saturate the airwaves, it would be familiar.
