Hello, friends.
I wanted to play a little bit with an idea I've been toying with recently.
The idea that the word relax is more than five letters.
It's meaning. It's a sound.
So, if you're reading this for the first time, keep reading.
If you're not sure, then start at the top, and read again.
Think about the word "relax" for a moment.
A word is a thought. A meaning.
But that meaning is wrapped in a sound.
That sound is wrapped in text.
You can almost imagine what it sounds like
To relax.
It's almost like effortlessly, the text warps into sound
Something you hear in the back of your head.
Relax.
It's funny, how words translate into sounds.
You can imagine the sounds of the words as you read them.
The meaning blending into feeling, as your eyes follow easily, and you hear in your mind, the sound of the words.
Making it that much easier to follow along.
Easy.
And of course, you know, as someone who has been hypnotized before, that this isn't the first time you've heard those words.
Relax.
Deeper.
Down.
In fact, you are so good at following
And drifting
That you realize that maybe, this isn't the first time you have read this text.
Or perhaps, there is a suggestion hidden somewhere to allow you to forget.
Perhaps it has come and gone.
Perhaps this is that suggestion.
But regardless, it's easier to read, and listen, and drift
Than to remember if you've forgotten
Or if you've forgotten to remember.
All you need to do is relax.
There's that sound again.
Relax.
The heavy feeling
Calm and warm.
Relaxing.
You may have already forgotten how much you've already relaxed.
But you can remember your breathing. Deep. Steady. Slow.
It brings you deeper, more relaxed.
And slows you down
So that your eyes follow
Your mind wanders
And you feel yourself sinking, blissful, and comfortable.
Is this the first time you're reading this? Or have you forgotten?
Does some of it sound familiar?
Relax.
That sound, of course is smooth, and easy
Familiar and comfortable.
Are you settling and calming because you have read this?
Or are you reading this because you have become calm, and centered?
It's become much easier to read, and drift.
And to relax.
Have you forgotten if you've read this before? Did you start at the beginning?
No matter. Right?
Because it's easier to follow
And sink
And drift
And melt
Isn't it?
It's much easier to hear those sounds in your head.
To follow along, because it's where you want to be.
You remember breathing deeply, of course
But perhaps it's easier to forget if you've remembered how this all began.
Maybe it's easier to remember that you've forgotten.
Because that sound
That word
Relax
Is more inviting. More comfortable.
It's exactly where you want to be, so why worry about where you've been?
It's so much easier to forget to remember unimportant things
And simply relax
Slowly, easily
Feeling that sound turn into meaning
A heavy feeling.
A dropping feeling.
While your mind effortlessly glides over my words
And the sounds bring you down
Deeper and heavier.
That's right.
It's much more comfortable and peaceful down here anyway.
It's so much easier to let your eyes glide over each word, letting each comforting word wrap around you automatically.
Because it's easier to forget where you've come from
And instead focus on where you are.
And you are, in fact, in a quiet, relaxing place.
You can hear my words now,
Sounds
In your mind, as you continue to read
To follow
So easily and effortlessly .
Do you keep reading to hear the sounds? Or do the sounds come, and so you read on?
You don't have to remember which is which.
Because it's easier of course to forget which sense you need to focus on.
Maybe they blend together
As you relax.
Relax,
Deeper
And heavier
Down.
And perhaps you blink.
But have you blinked because you've read the words?
Or because I've asked you to?
Perhaps you can't remember
Or you can't be sure.
But that's alright, dear.
Because it's easier to blink
And relax
Funny, how sounds take on meanings we never expected.
How a simple down brings us so very far down
How it feels as if we're sinking
Falling
Drifting
And relaxing
Just with a blink
And a blank
And a down.
Down.
Down.
And even here, where words and sounds and feelings all drift in, and out like the wind
You might have a fleeting moment, where you forget to remember or remember to forget.
Is this the first time you have read this?
Have you skipped a line?
If you don't know, then simply scroll to the top, and follow my words.
Have you relaxed?
I sure hope you have.
Taking a nice, big, deep breath in now.
And

2
3
4
5.
Up up, now, friend.
