Recognizing the Predator (The Real Problem)
A predator doesn't seek your consent, they seek your submission. And to do that, they often do this:
Isolation: They make you feel like only they understand you, that only with them can you be "yourself."
Boundary Erosion: They start with something small that's "wrong" but not severe. Then, when you give in, they use that concession to push for something bigger. ("You already did this, why wouldn't you do that?")
Gaslighting: They make you doubt your own perception. ("It wasn't that bad," "You wanted it," "You're exaggerating," "You're too sensitive.")
Reward and Punishment Cycles: One day they give you attention and affection (the "carrot"), the next they ignore you or humiliate you (the "stick"). This creates the addiction. You stay, waiting to get back to the good phase.
It's not hypnosis. It's reverse psychology and emotional manipulation. Hypnosis is just one more tool they use.
