wayv is still a part of nct! sm stated themselves that eventually the members of wayv, both the new ones and the ones who already debuted, will participate in official nct activities at some point- the different name/ company was just made to try and evade the hallyu ban in china, so that wayv will have an easier time promoting! the company is also affiliated w/ sm i think, so technically it's just sm under a different name?
