Rising Raged Waters
(NIV) Genesis 7.17 - For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
As the water rose those in the ark must have had time to reflect on what they were leaving. They also would have had the chance to imagine what the new earth would be like, and what their roles would be in it. Their situational setting could be seen as opposite of that of Adam and Eve. They were leaving the “world that sin built” for something conceivably better.
