‘I Broadcast’ by Blur, from ‘The Magic Whip’

Yes, Mr. Albarn worked on many interesting musical projects that go outside the parameters of your usual Britpop luminaries, but it's good to see him reforming Blur. They are one of the better Britpop groups, because they did not constrain themselves to the sound of it, when the hype stopped. While it's true their comeback could be a ploy for nostalgia, The Magic Whip, their most recent LP, shows these fears were unfounded, because it's a vibrant disc that functions both as a reintroduction to Blur and a sequel to Albarn's solo debut. I know the work maturity gets tossed a lot to these types of  endeavours, even my posts contain many instances of it, although it must be stated this quality reaches its full potential, when it's joined with the willingness to challenge oneself. Albarn brought that to Blur and thus The Magic Whip manages to be a typically atypical record for them.
