frustrating thing about getting a degree related to, but not actually for, the field I want to go into:

people (INCLUDING MY OWN MOTHER) keep sending me job listings for jobs in my degree field, NOT the field I want to go into, when i say, regularly and clearly, that i have NO INTEREST in doing this for a living. i actively dislike the work that my degree is in. i hate my classes, i can’t imagine doing it for a living, please listen to me when i speak???? please

All I have done today is professional responsibility practice problems and laundry. This has been the worst day of finals season so far, hands down.

but sometimes it really bugs me that people volunteer during the holidays and walk away like they just cured cancer or something

i'm not trying to sound holier-than-thou but i'm ready to go 24/7 for the red cross and some of these people spend 4 hours at a soup kitchen and have a god complex
