Last night, upon finding a little container I forgot I had in one of my drawers, "hey, bug, you want your teeth?"

Son peeks head into my room, "what."

"Your teeth," I repeat, shaking the little tooth-shaped container of baby teeth. "All the baby teeth that either fell out or were pulled...I have them."

"Why. Why do you have them?"

"Where do you think they went when you put them under your pillow? You figured out it wasn't fairies pretty quickly."

"I didn't think you kept them in a tiny box."

"Well I did, now do you want them or should I make a necklace or something?"

"Give me the teeth."

"What'll you do with them?"

He started giggling and refused to say. I'm guessing a cute plushy with a horrible grin is in my future.
