It's the bi-annual installation of I Can't Get To Rock Stores So I Have To Go To Some Janky Alternate Healing Expo for New Rocks Time I got!! A Pyrite/Calcite cluster. And another calcite with a REALLY good double refraction going on :> much easier to see in person though haha I actually tend to prefer crystals with imperfections in them because I like the way it changes how light refracts and whatnot, but I really wanted a good example of calcite's double refraction so I went with the cleanest one this time. I'm love it!!
#Con stop yapping#there were REALLY good and cool samples at this booth this time... holy sit#this guy is. obviously more of a geologist and he always has the COOLEST shit and geology facts#there was a blue kyanite/mica/garnet chunk....#but God micas are so flaky and I Do hate touching them lmao#and a REALLY COOL azurite/malachite/galena chunk I wanted but... oof... hesitated and someone else bought it#I just... raw malachite... nervous... but Pretty... wanted Poison Plate...#Rock Time
