I'm finally catching up on Outlander and I'm on the episode where Bonnet kidnaps Bree and I'm really hating how much time they're spending on Bonnet's backstory

I never really thought that Lost Girl is a product of a genius mastermind, but these past couple of episodes... What is this writing??? I cannot stop cringing. The reasons behind events and “plot twists” are so weak that you can’t really have any emotional reaction because it’s all written. so. poorly. What the hell happened?
