okay so on my timeline there is a lot of discourse about twibbons (borders for profile pictures to, say, support a certain team - e.g. lots of people are using twibbons to say that they support the red rabbits). people are saying that they suffer from derealisation because the profile pictures tend to look the same when they scroll through their feed. my thing is that the twibbons are used so that people don’t change their pfps to the exact same image. twibbons allow for the majority of the pfp to be seen, but also the border and little icon to also be seen. the whole point of a twibbon is so that people can keep their existing pfp.

this might sound harsh, but if you are getting that wound up/affected by a twibbon that you suffer from derealisation from Scrolling Through a Bird App, you should probably get off of the app. you should probably go outside. not everyone will cater towards you, and you have to accept this and try to cope as best as possible . i say this as someone who suffers from extreme anxiety .

if scrolling through your timeline makes you triggered that much, you should probably either alter who you follow, or get off until you feel better.
