What really gets me about how ruthless Kotaro was, is that not only did he make Tenko fear him so bad, that he'd jump at the sound of his voice,
not only did he punish, beat and clearly make him frequently very upset to the point of constantly crying and seeking reassurance,
but he also hit this TINY little kid hard enough to knock him back.
We know Kotaro is beating him. Seeing him beat him hard enough to get Tenko on the ground from the force he's using just pushes exactly how disturbing the situation is. And what's further horrifying is that Kotaro doesn't startle himself when he sees Tenko on the ground and backtrack on his bullshit. He just keeps talking. How is knocking your kid down not a wake up call? Or did he frequently beat him that violently?
For the record, Tenko is about five years old here. Kotaro still isn't disturbed by himself for hitting his own son and someone so small and vulnerable.
Tell me again that Tenko's early life "wasn't that bad".
