"you know you're quite literally something out an urban fantasy book."
she absolutely should not have mixed her liquors. or drank as much as she did. and if she had known she was going to be running into him then she absolutely would've shown restraint because the last thing a sober liesel would've ever wanted was for tristan de martel to see her being a messy drunk. a giggling drunk after tasting and mixing one too many mixed drinks at a party for a friend.
she absolutely should not have answered her phone afterward whilst trying to get a taxi. but she did and he arrived to give her a lift home.
if she had been sober she would've never sat so close, smiled quite as brightly or deliriously so at him. or have been so horrifically honest.
"honestly, i'm more mad at myself for not seeing the signs when i've read a good oh, i dunno, dozen or so books on the topic." she giggled, leaning closer, entirely unaware of the phrase personal space. "handsome man with ridiculous eyes and a tantalizing mystery. of course its over a girl. its always a girl from before. some kind of secret hidden society is involved- either his or the enemy's."
"i just," she sighed. "was so sure that kind of supernatural was fictional. because if it wasn't you would've already kissed me. but you're a perfect gentleman and i'm...me."
liesel sank into the curve of him as the car continued its path along the road in the dark of night. "mes don't get the handsome prince. we're the side characters who pine in the shadows for a kiss like this-"
if she hadn't been so ridiculously drunk she'd have never leaned up, fingers tangling in the short hair along his nape, tugging him closer as she pressed in for a kiss. the scent of him overwhelming as she kissed him, beneath the brief passing streetlights that would flicker and pass as the car drove along. mouth moving against his as the kiss continued and a quiet hungry noise slipped from her throat.
dizzied she pulled away, pressing her forehead against his shoulder with a sigh. "you dizzy me, tristan. you always do. somehow i always feel so grounded and unsettled by you. like i'm going to spin out into an oblivion of you and i almost don't think i mind."
"sometimes." she continued. "i wish this were all a delusion and i could just do whatever i really want. and not have to worry about tomorrow. or how it could just absolutely ruin things. i really like having you in my life. what was it bella said? "What a stupid lamb." wanting to kiss and keep a vampire in her life because her heart just absolutely has grown attached."

It's easy to like you, even when you're rude and too much.
*buries every bit of anger within due to not wanting to start conflict*
*feels angry at everything when one thing makes you mad the entire day due to bottling up anger*
