In the department of completely missing the point / making it all about you / coded racism, I think this is supposed to be a Firefighters Lives Matter thing? Which, uh.

Dude I Married said he'd watch Grey while I walked The Dorky Hellhound (because he's working from home today and on account of the heat) and I'm so used to having my little sidekick strapped to me when I leave the house without wearing him it feels super strange.
When I’m walking I often think about how trees don’t die of old age - it’s always something else that kills them - bugs or disease or drought or windstorm or fire or humans - and what it is that makes them immortal but not deathless.
Last weekend we went on an impromptu hike in the Wissahickon; a friend sent me a pin of a trail for the dog to walk and then play in a field which ended up being Bluebell Park which had a path that fed into the other side of Forbidden Drive. We only went a short way; Dude I Married isn’t a fan of long hikes into the unknown (open, filled with other people and many paths) woods so we only did about 3/4 a mile and then back, but I’m going to go again without him for a longer trek.
