champagne and pancakes for dinner with bmb tomura >.<

ooh anon i love this so much because it’s so him??? because champagne is so classy and extravagant and expensive but pancakes are so cute n fun n cheap,,, if bmb tomu / flawless tomu were to be summed up in one meal, it would be this one. flawless tomu has a total sugar addiction so his pancakes are literally swimming in syrup, but bmb tomu is a little more restrained, has a little more self-discipline, and likes to have the authority to scold both you and dabi for your extremely high sugar dependency, so his pancakes are artfully drizzled in a healthy amount of syrup—more than the normal person but less than dabi’s monstrous concoction and your cavity creation—and outfitted with a dollop of whipped cream + a light dusting of icing sugar. n you totally can’t quell ur giggles as he chides you over a crystal flute full of bubbling gold for adding extra candy or chocolate chips to your dish, because gosh, Daddy, you look so silly <3 ...that may be true, but he’d really prefer it if you’d at least add some fruit to your mountain of sugar

& irregardless of all of this, including his playful chastising, you know he’s gone completely and entirely all-out on this whole pancake-champagne dinner, complete with an overwhelming abundance of toppings all meticulously organized on the breakfast bar, because his baby deserves only the best, always <3

SHAWKY  IN  THE  MEDIA  .  shawky’s  two  greatest  discoveries  are  the  burial  place  of  alexander  the  great  ,  found  in  alexandria  ,  egypt  ,  and  the  ancient  hall  of  records  located  underneath  the  great  sphinx  of  giza  .  both  were  tremendous  finds  with  monumental  impact  on  our  understanding  of  history  .  he  and  his  team  have  been  interviewed  many  times  and  featured  in  numerous  documentaries  since  the  discoveries  ,  all  of  which  have  reached  popular  culture  .  these  are  just  a  few  .

UNDER  THE  SPHINX  (  2014  )  -  a  quickly  produced  feature  for  CBS  that  premiered  a  week  after  the  announcement  of  the  hall  of  records  discovery  .  this  included  the  very  first  images  of  the  hall  unveiled  to  the  public  ,  as  well  as  a  sit  down  interview  with  shawky  and  his  best  friend  ,  buzzy  ,  who  also  helped  locate  the  hall  .

ALEXANDER  (  2017  )  -  a  documentary  produced  by  the  discovery  channel  about  the  ancient  king  and  his  life  ,  including  a  brief  look  at  at  the  discovered  tomb  the  end  of  the  film  and  a  quick  interview  with  shawky  and  his  team  ,  mainly  focusing  on  the  find  ,  the  recovered  artifacts  ,  and  the  impact  they  have  on  history  .

CBS  SUNDAY  MORNING  -  THE  MODERN  ARCHAEOLOGIST  (  2018  )  -  shawky  was  the  subject  of  a  exclusive  feature  on  the  show ,  interviewed  by  jane  pauley             this  story  was  the  first  to  highlight  shawky  as  an  archaeologist  ,  not  just  focusing  on  his  discoveries  .  in  it  ,  he  talks  about  his  parents  immigrating  to  the  u.s.  from  egypt  ,  describes  his  love  of  museums  and  history  ,  and  offers  a  small  comment  indicating  that  he  is  amid  a  study  of  the  scrolls  found  in  the  hall  of  records  ,  which  could  lead  to  the  lost  city  of  atlantis  .
