honestly I love httyd

but httyd 3 was pretty mediocre..

I really loved the first two movies, and after five years my expectations were pretty high! but the movie seemed so stagnant for a while, it felt more like a super long episode of race to the edge or something. there wasn't a lot that made my heart really happy or sad or anything.. just the ending and whenever I saw how much toothless loves hiccup and the conflict in his eyes really got me to actually feel things.. I'm a little disappointed.. granted, I dont know what it's really like to make a film, and maybe they couldn't do more? but. like even the ending, with the baby dragons- it was cute, but it didnt make me feel anything powerful..

the credits scene with the moments between hiccup and toothless had me crying super hard though, I was hit hard by that lol. and when they went into the hidden world for the first time!! 'wow...' it was amazing!!

I did enjoy the movie, but it felt like such.. lost potential. I'm sad that it wasn't good enough for me- how to train your dragon truly is one of my favorite things in the world. I just wish it could have been completely amazing. the third movie felt like such a let down. but hey. I guess you cant be perfect (even though I thought they would be)
