A Familiar Face || Adrian & Rose
Glancing around the almost deserted quad, Rose let out an exasperated sigh. She’d missed dinner again, and this close to curfew the chances of the cafeteria having anything left worth eating were pretty slim. It was her own fault, of course—if she hadn’t smarted off in Alto’s theory class, she wouldn’t have gotten detention—but knowing that didn’t alleviate her aggravation in the slightest.
Her stomach grumbled in protest as if it were agreeing with her, urging her to hurry and find something—anything—to fill it. “One of these days I’m gonna learn to keep my big mouth shut.”
