the queens of disaster | lindy & blake

it was the sound of a familiar voice that woke lindy up. something about it made her feel safe but she couldn’t quite place who it belonged to until she opened her eyes. the sight of green hair and matching lips curved into a kind smile welcomed her. there was an imdeiate wave of relief that came over her once she saw lorna, her mother. (shouldn’t she feel angry? upset? betrayed?)
“i was starting to worry that you overexerted yourself yesterday, bells.” her voice was full of so much love, so caring and motherly, like she remembered it being. “i told your dad to let you ease into being a HERO.” that phrase instantly struck lindy as odd--- a sense of fear bubbling up and causing her vision to blur. fuzzy images of a dark haired man with a burnt face flashed before her, replacing the image of her mother. “wake the hell up, змея. don’t be as useless as SHE thought you were.” gasping, lindy threw her arms forward and all of a sudden she was in another room---that room that her father had trained her in. but something was different... was he smiling at her? was he proud of her? “that’s my girl. this is why i trust you to help me with a little project.” as he spoke a nearby door slide open to reveal someone that looked eerily familiar to the young rumlow girl. for the first time in what felt like forever lindy found her voice. “blake?”
