Demons love. Their mates, their children... likely many more. They see their family as beautiful, just as you see vir. They hunt for their starlets, for their spouses, and to keep the look in each other's eyes that can still recognize each other, and not be lost to hunger.

They hunt too, so that they don't lose themselves, and come back to themselves the way your wife almost did. Alone in a way that I don't think ever really stops hurting.

To stop the pain, to care for each other. They hunt. They kill.

The question is, if this is your new existence, will you live it differently? Will you ask Ophiel to live it differently? To subsist on stars, for all eternity, and hope that neither of you ever loses yourself again?
