So hey! I've basically been on a 6-month hiatus and thought I might post a tardy update because I've been oddly silent as if I wasn't planning on making more poses in the future, which I indeed am. Originally, before this abrupt, unplanned break, I was going to start making and posting more poses and start a sims story that can be read by the public (since all my other sims stories were just for my friends and myself) either on Tumblr or on an Instagram page I'd make just for that purpose. But unfortunately, that couldn't happen because my sims game kept CRASHING. So I'd spend about an hour or two building lots and getting characters ready and then my game would crash, leaving me with unsaved progress. Kind of dumb on my part since as a simmer, it's known that we ALWAYS have to save everything no matter what, cause we never know what can go wrong. Sadly, I haven't been able to play my game properly since December of 2021.
This was incredibly annoying so as much as it's been killing me not being able to play the sims 4, it's also been a good thing so that I can focus on my other hobbies like drawing, and writing while focusing on school and my mental health as well.
I knew that it was some piece of cc from my mods folder (more specifically my house cc folder) causing my game and computer to slow down and crash. To test out whether I was right or not, I took out all mods and cc, and my game ran smooth af. So it's definitely mods/cc doing this. I've been avoiding it for too long and I think I'm ready to get back into playing the game I paid for so I'll be doing a deep cleaning of my mods folder. Hopefully, I'll be able to figure out what's going on and return back to Tumblr with poses and a story on whichever platform I decide.
