who: @angstfactory (gray) where: cowabunga surf shop!
valentina had kept herself busy since the reception, but she’d been itching to get back on the water. it was summer, after all, and gray had told her more than once she should stop by. so she dressed for it. she’d gone with a fitted white tank that showed off her tan, a pair of worn denim shorts that hugged her in all the right places, and an oversized linen button-down she’d left open and loose over it all, more for the look than anything else. her sunglasses were perched on top of her head, her hair pulled back in a messy ponytail that still somehow looked intentional, and a pair of sandals slapped softly against the sidewalk as she made her way toward the surf shop.
when she stepped inside, valentina’s gaze moved slowly around the space, taking it in with quiet surprise. so it was a real business. not some half-baked excuse for a man to look pretty near a board rack. impressive. spotting grayson, she made her way over, a small smile already tugging at her mouth. “i was told this is the best place in town for surfing gear,” she said lightly, stopping in front of him. then her eyes flicked around the shop once more before settling back on his face. “tell me that wasn’t false advertising.”
