hugs jaune for no other reason than he's been like a big brother to him. even if jaune is like over a foot taller.
surprise opens blue eyes a little wider than normal, both arms up and out while his brain registers what was happening. oh, oh ok. he’s...a hug. oscar is hugging him. while not expecting the action, jaune isn’t at all displeased with it, and after a moment he finds himself putting an arm around the boy, his other raising to drop a hand in his hair. he’s so tiny, he thinks in the back of his head. was...this what it felt like to have a little sibling? he hopes so. his own troubled thoughts about the second soul within him have quieted; he doesn’t see ozpin now, not at all. he only sees a kid trying to figure out his place in the world. kind of like himself...
