I’m floored and astounded.
That was an amazing ride. The art design was gorgeous, the animation beautiful, characters endearing, story engaging...I am actually struggling to find a way to critically discuss this film because I’m pretty sure I’m just going to gush about it. Let it just be said that it was a visual experience of a sort that so many animated movies strive for and so few actually achieve.
If there was one minor point I could make, it’s that there’s so damn much stuffed into such a short running time with such striking visuals that I hardly feel as if I actually managed to watch and understand it all...But as problems go, “I guess I have to watch this movie again” is probably one of the best ones you could ask for.
