@beauxmccallum .
it wasn’t as though he was unpleasant company but the memory of their interaction genuinely kept the fae up at night. he may have tried to be polite but she could tell by the look on his face that there was distaste - a way to put it - for her job profession. juno had never been insecure about such a thing until she had that mans expression stuck in her brain. it made her wonder if she was too old for such a thing, she only had a few years till forty and she was still renting a home, no car and in truth still a dreamer. one of the evening sense their meeting she got ‘wine tipsy’ and applied to a handful of places. of course she hadn’t thought twice about it knowing there would be a long shot of someone calling her back but eventually they did... she even went in for an interview and all. they appreciated her style and complimented her on the positive attitude.
it left her walking away from the building with a smile, yet the man still lived in her mind. she may be so caught on it because most were either clearly disgusted or didn’t care while he seemed to...be hiding it. why? just as the question slipped in and through her mind her gaze lifted and met the infamous beaus. she actually turned on her heels to walk the other way, but some realization of the eye contact made her turn back around. offering a friendly smile she almost ‘fast walked’ right by him.
